Dacor refrigeration is designed for built-in installation: refrigerator and freezer columns that can be paired side by side, and French-door models, many available panel-ready. Paired columns each have their own cooling system, so a warm freezer column says nothing about the refrigerator beside it. Built-in units draw and exhaust air through a front grille, and that grille and the condenser behind it have to stay clean for the unit to hold temperature in a warm kitchen.
Worth knowing about Dacor: Samsung has owned Dacor since 2016, and current Dacor models pair Samsung control electronics with Dacor's pro-style cooking and refrigeration hardware. Also, on Dacor equipment built before Samsung took over, the proprietary control boards are what's most likely to have gone out of production, and we check that before quoting.

Usually not. Each column is a separate appliance with its own compressor, fans and controls, installed side by side. Diagnosis focuses on the column with the problem, although both share the same room heat and cabinet ventilation.
It can. The custom panel adds weight to the door, which loads the hinges, and the unit may be anchored into the cabinetry. Most repairs happen from the front, but pulling the unit out takes careful planning to protect the panels and surrounding cabinets.
