What we do
TrueFix San Antonio repairs appliances where they are installed: in your kitchen, laundry room or garage, in a rental you manage, or in a restaurant or office. The technician comes to you, finds the fault and repairs it.
The jobs are everyday ones: a refrigerator that has stopped cooling, a washer that won't drain, a dryer that runs but doesn't heat, a dishwasher leaving dishes gritty, an oven that won't light. None of these is unusual, but each has several possible causes, which is why the appliance gets tested before anyone names a price.
We're independent. We work on all the major brands, but we aren't a manufacturer's authorized service center, and brand names on this site only identify the appliances we repair. If your appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact the manufacturer first.

Test before quoting
The same symptom can have several causes, so we test the appliance and confirm what failed before naming a price. We don't quote repairs over the phone.
No surprises once work starts
The price you approve covers the repair we described. If we find something else once the appliance is open, we stop and ask before doing more.
Plain advice on repair or replace
Sometimes an older appliance with an expensive fault should be replaced, or the real problem is the installation or where the appliance sits. When that's the case, we tell you.
Explain the cause
You'll know which part failed and why, and whether water scale, a blocked vent or garage heat played a part, so it's less likely to happen again.

You get in touch
Send the booking form with the appliance, the brand, the model number if you have it, and what it's doing. We contact you to confirm a time.

We diagnose on site
The technician checks the appliance and its installation, including the water supply, drain, vent, gas or power, and confirms which part has failed.

You approve the price
We explain the fault and give you the price for the repair, parts and labor. Nothing is done until you approve it.

We repair and test
We make the repair and run the appliance to confirm it works. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you before you approve and arrange a second visit to fit it.

We go over what we did
Before we leave, you hear what failed, what was replaced and anything you can do to keep it from happening again. If you rent, the landlord or manager hears the outcome too.
Where we work
We work only in and around San Antonio, where local conditions affect appliances. SAWS water typically measures 15–20 grains per gallon, and that scale ends up in ice makers, dishwashers and washer valves. Summer heat can push garage refrigerators and freezers past their rated range. Gas ranges and dryers are common, and so are laundry rooms in the garage.
The housing varies just as much: century-old houses in King William and Monte Vista, mid-century ranches in Castle Hills, apartments near the Pearl and the Medical Center, and newer subdivisions in Stone Oak, Alamo Ranch, Schertz and Cibolo. Older kitchens often mean tight cutouts and older venting; newer ones, builder-grade appliances reaching middle age.
