LG designs its own appliances, so parts come through LG's own supply channel rather than a pool shared with other brands. We check availability while we diagnose, so you know about any wait before you decide.
It depends on what failed and how old the appliance is. Replacing a wear part such as a pump, valve, switch, element, belt or fan motor is usually money well spent. When a main control board or a major component fails on an older unit, the math is tighter, and if buying new makes more sense, we'll say so.
