Roper dishwashers are entry-level built-ins with dial or basic push-button controls and few cycle options. Their wash system, drain pump and inlet valve come from Whirlpool-family designs. On a basic unit like this, poor cleaning is often a supply problem rather than a failed part: water that isn't hot on arrival, low pressure, a clogged filter or scaled spray arms. A dishwasher that won't fill at all may have its float switch stuck in the raised position.
Worth knowing about Roper: Roper is Whirlpool's entry-level brand, with the same basic mechanics and simpler controls. Also, with few electronics on board, most Roper problems turn out to be simple parts — lid and door switches, pumps, belts, thermal fuses.
