Viking stove repair: what to know
A Viking stove, whether all-gas or dual-fuel, has open-style pro burners on top and a large oven below. The top usually fails at the spark switches and electrodes, especially when boil-overs run down behind the knobs. A gas oven that won't heat usually has a weak igniter. Viking stoves are heavy and fitted close to the counter, so pulling one forward means disconnecting gas and resetting the anti-tip bracket afterward.
Worth knowing about Viking: Viking's open burners run at high output, and spark igniters and clogged burner ports account for more Viking cooktop trouble than the electronics do. Also, Viking oven doors are heavy, and the hinges and springs carrying them wear; a door that no longer seals lets heat escape and looks like a temperature-control fault.
