LG stove repair: what to know
An LG stove is a freestanding or slide-in range with sealed gas burners or a radiant glass top over a convection oven with EasyClean. A gas stove that lights on top but not in the oven usually needs an oven igniter, while an electric model with one dead zone and a working oven points at that element or its control. Glass-top models have a hot-surface light that stays on after cooking; if it stays lit long after the glass is cool, a relay or sensor on the control is at fault.

What LG stove repairs usually involve
Parts for LG are made in volume and stocked by many suppliers. On an LG stove, the parts that wear out are mostly inexpensive ones: igniters, surface elements and their switches, bake elements and temperature sensors.

The light should go out once the glass cools. If it stays on for hours, a stuck relay or a failed sensor on the control is the usual cause. If any zone also feels warm with the controls off, switch off the breaker and have it checked.
The burners use spark ignition, while the oven uses a hot-surface igniter that must pull enough current to open the gas valve. A weak igniter still glows but never opens the valve. Once tested, it's a routine part to replace.
The outer ring is switched on separately by the control. If it never heats, that section of the element or the relay that switches it has usually failed, and both can be tested before a part is ordered.
