Hotpoint stove repair: what to know
Hotpoint stoves are basic freestanding ranges, mostly electric coil models with some gas versions. Because they're light, the anti-tip bracket matters: without it, weight on the open oven door can pull the stove forward. On coil models, scorched drip pans reflect less heat and can hide a burned receptacle underneath. On gas models, the oven igniter and the burner spark switches are the parts that wear, and a slow-lighting oven is the usual first sign of a tired igniter.
