Frigidaire oven repair: what to know
Frigidaire wall ovens and range ovens come in gas and electric, and Gallery models add convection and an air-fry mode that runs the convection fan hard at high heat. On gas ovens the glow-bar igniter weakens with age until it can no longer open the safety valve, which gives slow preheats and then no heat. Electric models more often lose a bake element or a temperature sensor. When the control shows a fault code, the sensor and its wiring are worth checking before the board.
Worth knowing about Frigidaire: Frigidaire is Electrolux's mainstream North American brand, so the two share many parts and repair procedures and parts are generally easy to get. Also, Frigidaire Gallery and Professional models often share mechanical parts with the base models but not their control boards, so the full model number matters on this brand.

What Frigidaire oven repairs usually involve
Parts for Frigidaire are made in volume and stocked by many suppliers. On a Frigidaire oven, the parts that wear out are mostly inexpensive ones: bake and broil elements, gas igniters, temperature sensors, door gaskets and hinges.

The convection fan runs fast in air-fry mode, so some noise is normal. Grinding, scraping or a fan that stops mid-cook is not, and usually means a worn fan motor bearing or a fan blade rubbing its cover. Grease buildup behind the rear panel can also unbalance the blade.
A weakening igniter is the usual cause. It still glows but draws too little current to open the gas valve quickly, so ignition is delayed and then stops altogether. Measuring the igniter's current confirms it, and the igniter is a separate part from the valve.
Turn the breaker off for a minute and back on. If the code returns, it points at a specific circuit such as the sensor, a door lock or the keypad, and that circuit needs testing. Note the exact code before resetting so it can be looked up for your model.
An oven that won't heat can have a weak igniter, a burned element, a failed sensor or a stuck relay. Measuring each one is quicker and cheaper for you than replacing parts one at a time.
