On many models an SE code means the control has detected a stuck or shorted key on the touchpad. When the microwave runs and the turntable turns but food stays cold, the fault is in the high-voltage circuit, and that work needs a technician because the capacitor can hold a charge after unplugging.

On many Samsung models SE means a key on the touchpad reads as pressed all the time, often from a worn membrane or moisture. Unplug it for a few minutes to reset it; if SE returns, the keypad or control needs replacing.
A chip that exposes bare metal can arc when the microwave runs, so stop using it if you see sparks. A small chip away from the waveguide cover can often be sealed with microwave-safe touch-up enamel. Larger damage means a new cavity or a new microwave.
Only if it's installed to recirculate air back into the kitchen instead of venting outside. Recirculating setups use a charcoal filter behind the top grille that should be replaced periodically, and a clogged one weakens the vent.
